After a long search, we have found a new instructor for the SkillsTrac
industrial maintenance training classes at John Jay.
Richard Haney has been hired and will be starting on September 1, 2020. Richard comes to us with great credentials and will be an unbelievable resource for the growth of this program and training local talent. Some of Richard’s skills and accomplishments include:
25 years of industrial automation experience
20+ years of teaching industrial maintenance skills
Co-developer of the SkillsTrac lab curriculum that John Jay currently uses
Richard will be in the building four (4) days a week. He will be here Monday-Thursday 8am – 7pm (with an hour off for lunch) to start. Those hours may change to accommodate some early mornings or later in the evenings for 3rd shifters, as the need presents itself. Students will still need to reach out to Richard and let him know they are coming. This is mostly because we have a limited amount of training equipment and we want to make sure the equipment is available when a student comes in to train.
